Thu, December 2, 2021 4:15 PM - Thu, December 2, 2021 5:15 AM at Book Flash Talks

Come to hear about books hot off the press! 2021 has been a great year for the Asian Pacific American Studies Program at MSU. Four of the program’s affiliated faculty published a book on Asian Pacific Islander Desi Americans & Asians both in the past and present. The “Book Flash Talks” is a great opportunity to learn about cutting-edge scholarship and art that deeply engage APIDA & A experiences, and to converse with the authors all in one!

  • Moderator: Ning Hsieh
  • Anna Pegler-Gordon, author of Closing the Golden Door: Asian Migration and the Hidden History of Exclusion at Ellis Island
  • Divya Victor, author of Curb
  • Jyotsna G. Singh, author of A Companion to the Global Renaissance: Literature and Culture in the Era of Expansion, 1500-1700 (2nd ed.)
