Dr. Divya Victor, APA Studies affiliated faculty member, wins highly selective book awards

The APA Studies Program is proud to congratulate affiliated faculty member, Dr. Divya Victor, for her book CRUB, published by Nightboat Books, winning highly selective book awards. CURB centers the experience of South Asian Americans and immigrants in a post 9/11 United States. PEN American Literacy Awards honors outstanding voices in fiction, poetry, science writing, essays, biography, children’s literature, translation, drama, and more. CURB received the 2022 PEN Open Book Award which is given to an exceptional book-length work of any literary genre by an author of color. Additionally, CURB was selected for the 2022 Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award Winner which is the world's largest monetary prize for a single collection of poetry.
