Graduate Fellowship Program
Asian Pacific American Studies Program will accept applications in the spring semester for the APA Studies Graduate Fellowship Program in AY 2026-27. You can see last year's the call for applications here including the application form. This fellowship offers:
- $3,500 per semester ($7,000 per academic year) fellowship
- Additional $2,000 to support research
Responsibilities include assisting APA Studies programming (including the APA Studies Symposium in Spring 2027) and attend bimonthly meetings to share their works in progress, discuss its relation to APA Studies, and cultivate skills to articulate their work in different disciplinary, professional and community contexts. The fellowship does not come with benefits and tuition reimbursements, but it can be held simultaneously with most other funding sources that do carry these benefits. We will be able to appoint five fellows.
Applicants must submit the following materials in order to be considered:
- A completed application form and faculty recommendation form
- A current CV
- A brief statement (up to 600 words) explaining your scholarly interests and professional goals, your interest in the APA Studies Graduate Fellowship, and how the fellowship will contribute to your goals and interests
- The name and contact information of the applicant’s graduate advisor or department chair to be contacted for a recommendation should the applicant be shortlisted (recommendations are not required at the time of application)
Application deadline will be announced in Spring 2026.
